Over the weekend I had the fabulous opportunity of hosting a Tapas & Sangria Backyard Party,

Let me just say...this is definitely the beginning of a summer tradition~
It's amazing how much fun you can have in such a short amount of time.
What's even more amazing is how easy it was to prepare.
I was able to find many of my necessities at one simple stop.
Cost Plus World Market.
Now, I know it sounds like a shameless plug, but in all honesty it's not.
I was able to find THE CUTEST small bite plates that worked perfectly for the theme.
Not to mention all the specialty foods I found:
Bread Sticks & Jamon Serrano
A yummy pesto Alla Calabrese spread that I used with goat cheese
oh and that cute little blue mini pot I found it there too!
& THE BEST Dark Chocolate Spread ever ~for my churros ...
no really, people were licking their fingers!

Good Friends always make everything better~
I decided to make it a date night,
a bring your honey and get all dolled up night.
(those are rare with 2 kids and a gazillion things to do these days)

(they arrived after dark so the background is a bit different)
oh yeah, and me and my honey too!
