It seems to be the simple things in life that bring us great pleasure.
Marshmallow Fluff. You bring my taste buds great pleasure.
Now, I started to write this post in the same manner as all the others,
Text.Photos.More Text.
Frankly, this post didn't need it.
All you need is a simple recipe and a spoon.
So with that, I won't waste your precious marshmallow fluff making time...
on with the show.
Perfect Marshmallow Fluff~
3 Egg Whites
2 Cups Sugar
1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar
3/4 C. Water
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. darn good Vanilla Extract
Bring egg whites to room temp. In a saucepan combine the sugar, cream of tartar and water. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cover, bring to a boil. Boil about 2 minutes, remove cover and attach a candy thermometer. Cook without stirring for 5-10 minutes until thermometer reads 240(F). Meanwhile, in a large bowl beat egg whites with an electric mixer on medium high until frothy. Add salt and beat until stiff peaks begin to form. With the mixer on low, slowly pour in the hot syrup. Beat in the vanilla (make sure it's darn good). Increase speed to medium-high; beat until light and fluffy and a dollop holds it's shape.
Now, I must warn you: This recipe may induce spontanious dancing and shouting.
or so I've heard ;-)
Now go, grab a spoon and enjoy.
You can also share the spotlight with some chocolate covered graham crackers.
I'm just sayin~
